Three Hour SF Bay Tour:
Leave Clipper Yacht Harbor, sail along the Sausalito
waterfront and under the Golden Gate Bridge. View the
open ocean, make some noise and hear it echo off the
bridge above. Sail along the San Francisco waterfront
past Crissy Field, Aquatic Park, Ghirardelli Square,
Pier 39 (including the Sidney Rudy Waterfront Park -
yes, he was my father). Turn and sail past Alcatraz
Island and Angel Island. Return to Sausalito and Clipper
Yacht Harbor.
Four Hour SF Bay Tour:
Includes everything in the three hour tour
with the addition of a sail all the way around
Angel Island then finishing with a thrilling
ride through Raccoon Strait with the beauty of
Belvedere on one side and Angel Island's Ayala
Cove on the other.
Four Hour Coastal Tour:
Leave Clipper Yacht Harbor, sail along the Sausalito
waterfront and under the Golden Gate Bridge. Continue
out into the Pacific Ocean and sail up the coast past
Point Bonita, Fort Cronkite, and Tennessee Valley Beach
to Muir Beach. Depending on the time of year you may see
dolphins, whales, seals, and an abundance of shore
birds. Return along the coast line and back under the
Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and Clipper Yacht
Harbor. This tour may take up to five hours, depending
on the tides, but you will not be charged extra. We do
this because we want to encourage you to experience
ocean sailing.
Two Hour Sunset Cruise:
Leave Clipper Yacht Harbor one hour before sunset.
Sail along the Sausalito waterfront and under the Golden
Gate Bridge where you can see the sun setting as a fiery
ball into the Pacific Ocean. If it is a full moon you
will see the moon rising in the east as the sun sets
simultaneously in the west. Then, as the sky begins to
darken, you will experience the magic of bridge and city
lights sparkling all around you. Spectacular. Don't
forget to bring a camera.
Marriage Proposal Cruise:
This cruise is designed to your
specifications. One possibility: Sail along the
Sausalito waterfront and under the Golden Gate
Bridge. Then back across San Francisco Bay
through Raccoon Straits and into Angel Island's
beautiful and serene Ayala Cove where we cruise
slowly while you pop the question. Champagne and
roses will be hidden on board to complete the
special occasion. Call for further details.
What to wear:
Weather on the bay is both unpredictable and
variable. One area may be quite warm while another is
very chilly. It is best to dress comfortably, in layers.
(Long pants, tank top or T-shirt, sweatshirt.) Be sure
to bring a warm jacket, preferably with a hood or a hat
that can be tied securely. Wear low-heeled, comfortable
shoes with non-marking soles, if possible. (Sneakers
with white or light-colored soles are best.) Bring
camera, sunscreen, and be prepared to have a great time. |
